Which casinos count as sisters, and what shows it

We call 2 casinos sisters only when their records name the same company behind both. They can be each casino's own footer, terms or policy pages, its licence certificate or its row on the licence list. Shared software gets our Same platform label instead, as with the 6 Rival casinos in our comparison. Then we open each set's lobbies in one sitting and compare what they show.

LicenceEvery casino named on this page is an offshore site.

Where to check whether casinos share a company

If you want to check 2 casinos yourself, compare the full company name each one gives, with its legal form, country and number. Names alone can mislead you, as the Pan De Bono case below shows.

You'll find a company in 3 kinds of record:

  • The casino's own pages: the footer, the terms and the policy pages.
  • The licence certificate: Curaçao's regulator keeps one page per domain, kinghills.com's among them. Each shows you the company, its number, the licence and its status.
  • The licence list: the same authority publishes a list of licences, with the company, its number and the status on each row.

Look closer, and the 2 Pan De Bono names part ways. Pure Casino's footer lists Pan De Bono Consulting Limited, registered in Cyprus as HE401911, while a lookalike Cocoa site gives Pan De Bono Consulting, an N.V. registered in Curaçao. With a different legal form and country, they count as 2 firms here.

The records also have to agree. When a casino's own texts name firms that don't match the other casino's, there's no Same company label. It can still join a set on its software alone.

What our Same platform label means

It means the casinos run the same software, and every match is dated and checked for each domain. That's a technical link. As you'll see with Jokabet below, casinos run by different companies can share it.

That's why a casino you've seen called a sister elsewhere can sit under Same platform here. A link that only another list claims doesn't appear on our pages at all.

We accept a platform match in any of 3 forms:

  • One build file: the 6 Rival casinos we compared serve the same build file, byte for byte, from the same path.
  • One set of settings: 8 casinos on the Kinghills platform carry the same 131 settings, each with a brand setting of its own turned on.
  • One template or cashier: shared page templates or cashier code, where a set has them.

When a casino joins one of our sets

It joins at the first gate, once the evidence earns it a label. The second gate decides whether its lobby is compared with the others.

  1. 1

    The tie

We look first for a company in each casino's records, then for software it shares with the others. Whatever the records show decides the label: Same company, Same platform or Similar casinos. That last one marks a lookalike or an alternative, with its likeness stated. Every tie rests on dated evidence.

  2. 2

    The lobby read

Every compared lobby is opened in the same sitting. Then we count what each front page shows, row by row.

A casino can hold a label without joining a lobby comparison. Its row stays on the set page, so you still see the tie and the records behind it, while the comparison covers only the lobbies read together.

What we compare once the lobbies are open

Front-page counts and titles. Our claims cover what a front page shows, its Show all and View all counts included, never which games a full catalogue holds.

  • Row totals: each View all button gives a count. All 6 Rival lobbies show the same 6 rows, with 978 games behind Show all.
  • Titles: we match game names row by row, across the stretch of each row that every lobby shows, so a wider row can't inflate a count.
  • Left out: live feeds of recent wins, which change on every load, and offers, which no page here prints.

Rival tiles reshuffle each time you load the page, so for those lobbies we compare row totals only. Every count is on the overlap page, if you want the numbers set by set.

How the gates worked on the Kinghills set

At the first gate, Memo Casino earned Same company and 6 more casinos earned Same platform. Kinghills and 2 of them then went through the second gate together.

Gate 1 began with 8 casinos on one configuration, and since a licence certificate gives a company number as well as a name, that's where we looked first. Memo Casino's certificate gives company 164650, the number on Kinghills' own, under the same licence, and Kinghills' policy pages and Memo's terms name IntellogixSoft B.V. as well. Those 4 records name one firm. Memo is Kinghills' sister.

Jokabet has the same build, down to the 131 settings, yet the company on its certificate is Investan N.V., number 153108. That keeps it at Same platform.

Gate 2 took the 3 lobbies read in one sitting: Kinghills, Jokabet and Xtraspin. Memo and the other 4 stay out of that count, though you'll still find their tie rows on the set page. Within the stretch all 3 show, 17 of the 18 games match. The Kinghills page sets out what each casino adds.

If you're checking a casino's sisters because you've stepped back from one of them, a sister or a platform match can put the same lobby in front of you under another name. For anyone on GAMSTOP, its own FAQ suggests a device blocker as well. Getting help explains how blocking software and a bank block work alongside it. Questions readers ask

Are Rival casinos sister sites?

Not on our standard. They share one build file, and 4 of the 6 we compared print the same terms word for word. None of the 6 names a company on its own pages, so our DaVinci's Gold page labels them Same platform.

What happens when a casino's records change?

When a record changes, we read it again ourselves and move the casino to whatever label the new evidence supports. If you see a change before we do, the Report a change page tells you what to send.
